WLRN | Multimedia Producer
As WLRN's multimedia producer, I am tasked with managing WLRN's digital content and radio newscasts for Morning Edition. Through programs like GroundSource and Mail Chimp, I connect and engage our audience. To promote our content, I have produced Twitter threads, live tweeting, Instagram posts and digital exclusive content. When I'm not working on newscasts or social, I am passionate about producing features that help me learn and share the stories of the South Florida community.

KCRW 24-Hour Radio Race | Participant
In November 2021, I participated in KCRW's radio race, where my group had to create a 4-minute nonfiction radio story within 24 hours. This year, the theme was "Won't you be my neighbor." My group told the story of Chorizo the cat and how they broke the hearts of all the residents in one Miami neighborhood. |

VOICES Program | Fellow
Sage Kamiya didn't know he was different until he saw himself in the mirror. Kamiya is one of the descendants of the Yamato Colony, a Japanese agricultural community from the early 1900s.
In our podcast, Rooting Identity, my group members and I explored how those of the Asian American diaspora explored their identity and culture through agriculture. For three months, I researched the history of the Yamato Colony and interviewed its descendants in order to craft this audio story. This project was made as part of the Asian American Journalist Association's VOICES program, a remote multimedia fellowship. |
